Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I got the chance to speak to someone i hold major respect for and asked her about her perspectives about whats more important the past, present or future. She responded by saying the present is all she thinks about. She then continued by explaining her perspectives and why she believed in them. I usually go along with what she says but this time it was different. She stated that she forgets about the past and just continues. She takes life as it is, never looks back, and from there comes happiness. This then came with the realization that everyone thinks about happy times which makes the present seem so horrible. I soon became a bit depressed knowing im a person who dwells upon the past. I completely agree with what shes says but came to think about why the past consumes me so much. I then brought up my own beliefs. She easily countered every little thing i said, it was as if she was reading my mind. I could then only think about my past. All the fights, friendships, heart aches, and all of it. My whole life seemed to have flashed before my eyes and i was left with nothing, emptiness. And all that remains on my mind is where’s the significance in life if everything is eventually forgotten?
